Frank Lampard Calls 3-3 Draw Versus West Brom 'A Big Lesson'

Sep 26, 2020 6:21 PM

Frank Lampard lamented the amount of errors Chelsea made during their 3-3 draw against West Brom.

Chelsea trailed 3-0 at half-time, featuring mistakes from Marcos Alonso and Thiago Silva.

"You can do as many meetings as you want -- if you're going to make those mistakes, you're going to give yourself a mountain to climb ... it is a big lesson for us. We will get a lot better. We're still finding our way with new players and a lack of pre-season. Today is part of the process of getting better," said Lampard after the match.

Chelsea currently have four points from their opening three matches.

Lampard added that Chelsea won't hit their stride until after the international break.

"In terms of team fitness, it won't be until after the international break [in October] that I expect to see us up to our real level, especially in terms of on the ball, because we haven't had time to work on that yet."

Neymar Accuses Marseille Defender Of Racist Comments

Sep 13, 2020 9:12 PM

Neymar accused Marseille defender Alvaro of making racist comments during PSG's 1-0 loss in an ill-tempered match.

The match finished 9 v 8, with Neymar, Leandro Paredes, Laywin Kurzawa, Dario Benedetto, and Jordan Amavi red-carded in stoppage time.

"VAR catching my 'aggression' is easy. Now I want to see the image of the racist calling me a 'monkey motherf---er'... this is what I want to see!" Neymar tweeted after the match.

PSG sporting director Leandro criticzed referee Jerome Brisard for not keeping control of the match.

"A total of 14 cards were brandished and five of them were red, which means the match got out of control.

"[Brisard] lost his head. He officiated the League Cup final but he doesn't have the experience for this kind of fixture."
